KIYOKO SHIMIZU; HAIKYUU

"Little by little, what you’ve begun will naturally become important to you. What you need at the start is a little bit of curiosity."

Kiyoko is the strong, silent type. Being a woman of few words, the team always knows that anything she says holds true value and heavy meaning. She is focused and dedicated to helping her boys in any way that a volleyball club manager can. Her insight and maturity are admirably beyond her years.

Instead of opting for one of Kiyoko's canon anime looks, I adored the designs of her in a volleyball uniform. So that is the direction I went. But instead of just copying the boy's uniform, I took more of a feminine approach, playing of the girl's volleyball club uniform style while maintaining the boy's team colours. The number '8' was chosen because of how often it appeared in the Kiyoko fanart. The jersey was constructed from black, white, and orange sports jersey dimple mesh material, with iron-on stretch vinyl for the numbers and logos. The wig, purchased through Arda Wigs, was trimmed, shortened, and styled by me.
